STEG Paper Presentation - Endogenous Structural Transformation in Economic Development

On 18 November 2020, the STEG programme hosted its first paper presentation as part of its research initiative to better understand structural change, productivity, and growth in low- and middle-income countries.

STEG welcomed Professor Justin Yifu Lin (Institute of New Structural Economics, Peking University, and former World Bank Chief Economist) and Professor Haipeng Xing (Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, State University of New York, Stony Brook) to present their paper 'Endogenous Structural Transformation in Economic Development', which poses a novel method to model the structural transformation in a market economy.
