Ben is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Business Economics at Cornell University's Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, located in the SC Johnson College of Business, and a Distinguished Affiliate at CESifo. 

His research interests are in industrial organization with a focus on competition and innovation on digital platforms, and the role of information in economic behavior. Much of his current work speaks to antitrust concerns, including ongoing debates about the power of digital platforms.

Ben received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia, and a B.A. in Economics and in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina.
