Farzana Afridi is a Professor of Economics in the Economics and Planning Unit at the Indian Statistical Institute, Lead Academic of the International Growth Centre’s India programme, and a Research Fellow at the IZA. Her research lies at the intersection of development and labour economics. It can be categorised into three broad themes: gender and social identity; human capital and governance. Farzana earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Michigan.
