Gabriel Tourek is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on public economics and development, specifically the equity of transfers and taxes and the process through which fiscal capacity and governance jointly develop. A second focus centres on market and behavioral frictions that constrain firms' decision-making and growth. Gabriel received his PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University.
