Marcela Eslava is a Professor and Dean of Economics in the Faculty of Economics at the Universidad de los Andes. Her research agenda focuses on economic development, from the relationship between business dynamics, employment, productivity and regulations. Marcela is currently a member of the Regional Standing Committee for Latin America of the Econometric Society and the Administrative Council of the Research Institute for Development, Growth and Economics (RIDGE), and a research affiliate of the Innovations for Poverty Action SME programme.
