Román David Zárate is an Economist in the Trade and Integration Unit of the Development Research Group at the World Bank. His research interests are in international trade, urban economics, and development economics. His main focus is on how different forms of market integration impact aggregate welfare and productivity in developing countries. Román received a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2020.
