Rosine Sori-Coulibaly is the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Burkina Faso. Previously, she was Minister of Economy, Finance and Development in Burkina Faso between January 2016 and January 2019. She has over 20 years of experience working in the UN, particularly the UNDP, where she carried out several leadership roles including Special Assistant Deputy Secretary General of the UN, UN Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative. Under her leadership as Principal Economist of the UNDP Benin, several programmes were developed and implemented in the areas of promoting inclusive growth, grassroots development and climate change. It introduced reforms aimed at improving the efficiency of UN Operations and increased government accountability for coordinating and monitoring the performance of projects. She holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in economics from the University of Dakar.
