Zareh Asatryan is Deputy Head of the Department of Public Finance and Corporate Taxation at ZEW - Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research. He is an applied economist interested in public economics and his current research focuses on the political economy of the welfare states and the design of tax and transfer systems in low-capacity environments. Zareh holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Freiburg.
