Andrea Atencio de Leon is an applied macro and labour economist in the Strategy and Policy Review Department of the International Monetary Fund. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Her research interests are in domestic outsourcing, labour market dynamics, gender and development.
