Ignacio Marra de Artiñano is a PhD candidate at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the European Center for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics (ECARES) under the supervision of Paola Conconi.

Ignacio's main research interests are international trade and development economics. Ignacio has also worked on issues related with labour markets and gender inequality.

In Fall 2024 Ignacio visited Yale University‘s Economics Department under the supervision of  Lauren Bergquist. Previously Ignacio worked at the Trade Sector of the Inter-American Development Bank and at the Investment Climate Unit of the World Bank. Ignacio completed an MPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford and a Bachelor in Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Ignacio's research agenda is supported by a FRESH grant of the Fund for Scientific Research  (FRS-FNRS) and project grants by the IGC, STEG and PEDL.
