Robert Lensink is a Professor of Finance and Financial Markets in the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen, a Fellow of the Institute for Economics, Econometrics and Finance (IEEF), a Professor of Finance and Development in the Development Economics Group at Wageningen University, and a Professor Extraordinary in the Business School at the University of Stellenbosch. He is also the Scientific Director of the Centre for International Banking, Insurance, and Finance (CIBIF) and a Resource Person for the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). His research interests include microfinance, gender studies, impact analyses and experimental economics. Robert received a PhD in Economics from the University of Groningen in 1993.
